Step 1

Prioritize the main story

Keep the campaign as your main objective: it unlocks zones, progression systems and the activities needed later.

  • Progress through main missions before starting long farming sessions.
  • Activate travel points and complete unlock quests encountered along the way.
If a mission stops your progress, improve your main modules before replacing your entire loadout.
Step 2

Unlock Ultimate Bunny and Ultimate Freyna

Use Archive Fragments to obtain two Ultimate Descendants that provide a strong foundation for your account.

  • Ultimate Bunny is one of the best Descendants: she farms quickly while remaining capable of clearing all game content.
  • Ultimate Freyna is a simple and comfortable choice for farming less demanding content.

Step 4

Collect the Fellow available from Eckert

Visit Eckert to collect the Fellow currently in rotation: the Snowy Sled Dog or the Hagios Sheepdog.

  • Check which Fellow is offered before spending your resources.
  • They alternate in the rotation, so collect whichever one you still need.

Step 5

Complete the seasonal quests in order

These quest lines guide you after the main story and progressively unlock activities added to the game.

  • Start with the oldest season quest line you have not completed yet.
  • Then continue through each season in release order.
  • Complete previous seasons before focusing on the current season's activities.
Following this order prevents some objectives from remaining hidden or locked behind an earlier quest.
Step 6

Research and level weapons

Research new weapons and raise their Proficiency Level to 40 to quickly increase your Mastery Rank. Start with every blue and purple weapon.

  • At Anais, always collect completed weapons and start new research whenever possible.
  • Raise each weapon's Proficiency Level to the maximum of 40. Every weapon raised to level 40 contributes to your Mastery Rank.
  • The weapon you are actively using receives the most EXP, but your other two equipped weapons also receive some.
  • For fast progress, run Hard Infiltration Operations at 400%.
  • For a simple and relaxed farm, run the Albion Resource Defense Special Operation with Ultimate Freyna.
Step 7

Obtain the Vespers Hunting Dog and Ines

Obtain the Vespers Hunting Dog, the only Fellow needed at this step, along with Ines.

  • Both the Vespers Hunting Dog and Ines can appear in Eckert's HQ Special Orders rotation.
  • Check the current rotation before farming the first Void Vessel: you can skip that farm if Eckert offers them.

Prepare a build for the Axion Plains and beyond

Use a highly rated Descendant build on TFD Hub as your goal, then prioritize the parts available at this stage of your progression.

  • Start by matching its core setup: essential modules, weapon, Reactor and External Components.
  • Ignore the build's Trigger Module and Ancestor Module for now: you will not have access to them at this stage of progression.
  • Focus on Sector Sigma to obtain the External Components suited to your build and farm their Cores.
  • Run Hard Infiltration Operations at 400% and Purge missions to obtain Weapon Cores.
Trigger Modules and Ancestor Modules come later. For now, a solid foundation and good Cores are the priority.
