Would not recommend this against Wallcrasher, Onslaught and any Colossi without a pocket Luna that buffs you.

Trials can work if you get lucky with the buffs

Even with just around 30% crit with a good ancestor mod, the spread of contagion affects so many mobs, that the amount of ticks total is enough to feel a improvement in clear vs noncrit.
